In the 1980s, Pripyat was one of the most modern cities of the Soviet Union.
From above, the rooftops of its buildings reflect an ordinary life once filled with families, children playing in the courtyards, and adults working at the nuclear power plant.
These structures, built for the future, were suddenly stopped on April 26, 1986.
Today, the silent rooftops overlook a voiceless landscape, a haunting reminder of a city that was meant to grow but instead became an eternal witness to tragedy.
