Where to buy Royalty-free videos in 2023?

I have been buying and selling my video clips online for more than 5 years, so knowing most of the sellers, I have created this list of 10 websites where to buy stock footage.

  1. Envato Elements
  2. Artgrid
  3. Shutterstock
  4. Pond5
  5. Adobe Stock
  6. Istockphoto
  7. Storyblocks
  8. Motion Array
  9. FilmPac
  10. Depositphotos

Let me start by saying that this list is based on my personal requests and needs, so any of these 10 sites may be the best for you based on your requests, the type of material you need to buy, the price, the quantity/quality or whatever.

1. Envato Elements

Envato offers a gallery of 3.5 Million videos available for a monthly subscription at really good prices with unlimited downloads.

I repeat that by paying once, you can download as many videos as you want, and this subscription also includes:

  • Music
  • Photo
  • Video Templates
  • Sound Effects
  • Graphic Templates
  • Graphics
  • Presentation Templates
  • Fonts
  • Add-ons
  • Web Templates
  • CMS Templates
  • WordPress
  • 3D

2. Artgrid

Artgrid is premium stock, so the video content is high quality, often shot with professional cinematic cameras.

This platform also works on a subscription basis, the prices in some cases are similar to Envato, in others more, based on the type of user license you want to purchase.

The website also has a music gallery that can be purchased along with videos.

3. Shutterstock

Shutterstock is one of the first successful stock photo and video sales websites. It has a huge gallery of more than 27 Million clips.

Videos can be purchased individually, in packs or as a subscription together with images, videos, music and Creative Flow Plus.

4. Pond5

Pond5 has an archive of 30 million videos that can be downloaded individually or with different plans that the site makes available.

Video prices vary as they are decided directly by user sellers, so you can find some very high quality clips for low prices.

5. Adobe Stock

Adobe also has a very large video gallery.

Adobe gives access to their stock with some of the subscriptions for their Creative Cloud products, so for users of Photoshop, Premiere etc… it could be an interesting choice.

6. Istockphoto

The Istock gallery is similar to that of Pond5 and Adobe (in terms of quantity), offers packages with a limited number of clips that can be downloaded per month.

Check out these three sites to figure out which one is right for you.

7. Storyblocks

This site offers packages with limited downloads or monthly subscriptions with unlimited downloads.

The subscription also includes:

  • Photos, vectors and illustrations
  • Music and Sound Effects
  • After Effects Templates

8. Motion Array

Motion array is a near-premium platform, so it sells high-quality products.

It offers some cheap priced subscriptions with unlimited downloads.

The downside is that the amount of videos for now doesn’t reach a million.

9. FilmPac

Filmpac offers high quality premium material, i.e. videos shot with professional cinematic equipment.

It offers subscriptions with unlimited downloads.

10. Depositphotos

Deposit has an archive of 11 million videos and offers subscription packages.

That was the last of my advice regarding the big guys in the market.

But before buying on one of these sites, I would like to suggest that you take a look in my stock gallery on Kmeel.com

I offer extended license with unlimited use for all videos at much lower prices than the competition.

So the videos purchased on my site can be used on an unlimited number of your projects and without any time limit.
